Our journey
From circular economy to an international network.
2020
Founded in Amsterdam
Flexible Circularity was founded in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, by Flavio Candia, to develop and scale projects that bring together technology, sustainability, productive capabilities and business opportunities, mainly between Europe and Latin America.
Origins
Circular economy
Our journey began by supporting the scale-up of industrial facilities that turn organic waste into sustainable proteins and other valuable products, tackling technology, operating processes, economic viability, regulation and market development.
Expansion
Trade, cooperation and innovation
Our activities expanded into international trade, productive transformation, technical cooperation and innovation, through collaboration with professionals, companies and institutions in different countries.
Today
An international network
We combine in-house expertise with an international network of specialists and collaborating organizations, forming teams tailored to the needs of each project.
Our initial experience was built on projects for organic waste valorization and sustainable protein production, addressing the technological, operational, economic and commercial aspects of industrial scale-up.
These capabilities were later extended to other waste valorization, resource recovery and productive efficiency solutions, including the assessment of technologies and implementation models for industrial and territorial projects.
International trade and productive transformation
We collaborate with international financial institutions, public bodies and companies on initiatives that strengthen the productive and commercial capabilities of Latin America.
Our work covers traceability, certification, food safety, sustainability, digitalization and adaptation to the requirements of international markets, particularly the European Union.
We also integrate sustainability indicators and investment needs related to energy, water, logistics, technology infrastructure and business capabilities, linking market requirements with concrete opportunities for productive transformation.
Technical cooperation and institutional strengthening
We take part in cooperation initiatives that connect specialized institutions, public agencies, sector organizations and companies.
These activities include technical capacity building, knowledge exchange, training and the development of digital tools that facilitate access to regulatory information and improve risk management.
Universities, technology and innovation
We work with universities, research centres and technology companies to connect scientific capabilities with productive needs, commercial applications and funding opportunities.
Recent lines of work include the standardization of operating processes, digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence to improve management, decision-making and the scaling of solutions.
In Chile, we also develop initiatives in collaboration with Blue Bridge, bringing together technical, institutional and commercial capabilities to structure new projects.
Our methodology
From market to solution. From evidence to implementation.
Our approach starts by understanding local needs and testing them early against the conditions of the market, users and potential customers.
From the earliest stages, we identify the commercial, technical, regulatory and financial requirements that will determine a project’s viability. From there, we work towards the capabilities, technologies and resources needed to develop it.
This makes it possible to assess alternatives, validate assumptions and make adjustments before committing significant investment, reducing implementation time, costs and risks.

We organize the work in four stages
1
Frame
Understand the challenge and identify demand, stakeholders and market conditions.
2
Assess
Compare alternatives, capabilities, costs and risks. Validate the main assumptions early.
3
Structure
Define the technical, economic and operational solution, together with resources, partnerships and financing conditions.
4
Advance
Facilitate implementation, measure results and adjust the project for its development and scaling.

How we work
Flexible teams. Complementary capabilities.
Flexible Circularity operates through a structure that combines in-house expertise with specialized professionals and collaborating organizations from different countries.
Each initiative is organized according to its objectives, technical requirements and implementation conditions, with clear responsibilities and coordination mechanisms. This model brings together complementary knowledge, technologies and resources, adapting teams to each project.
Connecting Europe and Latin America
From our base in Amsterdam, we develop projects and collaborations with companies, institutions and professionals in Europe and Latin America, combining knowledge of international markets, technologies and regulatory frameworks with local capabilities.
Our purpose
Turning opportunities into viable projects.
We aim to help good ideas find the technical, commercial and financial conditions they need to become concrete projects: making use of existing capabilities, incorporating new technologies and creating opportunities for investment and collaboration.
